An Australian woman died of hepatitis A virus due to a frozen frozen pomegranate.
The 64-year-old woman died in South Australia last week in a “rare tragedy”, according to state health authorities.

Hepatitis A is a liver disease that is transmitted through the stool, through sex, or in contact with food or objects contaminated with the virus.
It usually takes 15 to 50 days for the development and appearance of the disease, including nausea, fever and yellowing of the skin, according to local health authorities.
